For whom ?
This course is aimed at holders of a scientific L2 or L3 under the age of 30, in particular students from : CPGE, 2nd year of the Prépa des INP, CPGE ATS, scientific L2, L3 or M1, DUT, BUT 2 or 3 (Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Physical Measurement, Materials Science and Engineering departments), EEIGM and partner foreign universities, company employees with proof of one of these levels.
Given the European nature of the school, a good command of English and basic knowledge of a second language (German or Spanish) are required.
How?
Le recrutement pour la formation par apprentissage (FPA) se déroule en deux phases :
- Academic phase
- Company phase
Academic phase
This phase is used to check the candidate’s academic level. It is managed by the Registrar’s Office.
It takes place in 4 stages:
- Submitting applications via the e-candidat website: https://ecandidat.univ-lorraine.fr . Once you have created your account, you can submit the supporting documents requested and download the sample notice of continued study. The application can be completed in several stages until the application closes. If you have a certificate showing your level of English, German or Spanish, attach it to your application in the appropriate section, as this will enhance your application.
- Examination and selection of applications.
- Candidates whose applications have been accepted are invited to attend a one-day test in Nancy: a mathematics test, two language tests (English, LV2) and a motivational interview.
- Candidates selected at the end of this day are declared eligible and have completed the academic phase.
CAUTION: it can take a long time to compile the application, so allow plenty of time to finalise it.
List of attachments :
- One-page curriculum vitae, including details of periods spent abroad, internships and jobs.
- One-page covering letter
- Transcripts of marks from the baccalauréat
- Transcript of marks for each year after the baccalauréat
- Candidate’s ranking for each year after the baccalauréat
- Copies of university diplomas (3 maximum)
- Notice of continuation of studies indicating ranking
- Letter of intent from the apprenticeship company (if you have already been offered an apprenticeship contract)

Company phase
Cette phase, réservée à ceux qui ont validé la phase académique, est dédiée à la finalisation d’un contrat d’apprentissage avec une entreprise. Elle est gérée par la Direction des partenariats industriels.
When?
Academic phase
- Dépôt des candidatures via le site e-candidat : du 15 janvier au 15 mars 2024
- Examen et sélection des dossiers : le 22 mars 2024
- Pour les candidats dont le dossier a été retenu, une journée d’épreuves à Nancy : soit le 03 avril soit le 04 avril 2024
Company phase
The company phase of recruitment begins as soon as the results of the academic phase are known.
Further details (on-site or remote, timetables, etc.) will be provided as soon as the health situation is known.

The first 15 candidates to pass both the academic and company phases will be admitted to the EEIGM.
