TEACHING THAT KEEPS PACE WITH SCIENTIFIC ADVANCES
Materials are at the heart of innovation, which is stimulated by the results of the research that forms an integral part of the EEIGM’s training programme.
Learning through research prepares EEIGM students for the ideal start to their careers, whether in academic research or in the corporate world, where most of their first assignments focus on research and development issues.
One of EEIGM’s strengths is its network of 30 research laboratories located in partner universities, which can host students for their approximately 6-month research placement (complementary to the industrial placement) and which work together to contribute to advances in materials science and engineering.
In addition to a compulsory long research placement, EEIGM students take part in various projects linked to learning through research.
The EEIGM also hosts the Erasmus Mundus Research Master in Materials Science and Engineering (AMASE), a 2-year programme.
In addition to scientific courses, students in this master’s programme carry out research projects.
