L’EEIGM est composée de 7 universités européennes au sein desquelles se répartissent une trentaine de laboratoires de recherche.
Les axes de recherche des laboratoires du Consortium EEIGM traitent notamment des propriétés mécaniques, de la caractérisation des matériaux, de la métallurgie physique, des biomatériaux, des matériaux fonctionnels, des nanomatériaux ainsi que de la modélisation et de la simulation.
