As a technology transfer centre and development platform, the Halle des Matériaux supports its industrial and university partners through :
- Services (industrial training, materials characterisation, damage surveys, technology watch, etc.)
- Sub-contracting (heat treatment, prototype manufacture, surface treatment, etc.)
- Industrial development of brazing assembly solutions and protective coatings.
By working both with SMEs in the local industrial fabric that want access to innovations in technological research and with major groups, La Halle is positioned primarily in strategic markets such as :
- Transport (aeronautics, aerospace, automotive)
- Energy (energy production and storage)
- Advanced manufacturing (additive manufacturing).
The EEIGM-Halle des matériaux has been awarded the Carnot Icéel label, in recognition of its effective R&D collaborations with socio-economic partners, and is part of an ecosystem of research laboratories, technical and technological centres, experts in the fields of process and energy engineering, resources and the environment, materials and industrial technologies.
Carnot Icéel offers to draw on its multidisciplinary network of research structures to support the innovation strategy of companies of all sizes: VSEs, SMEs, start-ups, ETIs and major groups. The Carnot label is a guarantee of scientific excellence and quality to encourage the development of partnership research.
As a public research establishment, it is eligible for the Research Tax Credit.
