EEIGM CONSORTIUM

Every EEIGM graduate must spend at least one year abroad during their degree course (training, research placement, industrial placement), in addition to two language placements. For three years, they work alongside students from partner countries. They acquire a solid European culture and a command of four languages (French, English, German and Spanish).

PARTNERS OUTSIDE THE CONSORTIUM

After completing a semester of training in one of the consortium member universities, students have the opportunity to go to another country, either for a double degree or for their research placement.

The EEIGM has signed additional agreements for student exchanges, double degrees and scientific collaboration with :

DOUBLE DEGREES FOR EEIGM STUDENTS

Any student on the EEIGM international curriculum can obtain a double (or triple) degree in materials engineering from the EEIGM and a Master’s degree from one of the universities in the Consortium (Luleå Tekniska Universitet, Universität des Saarlandes, Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya/EEBE, Universitat Politècnica de València/ETSII, Université Libre de Bruxelles, Montanuniversität Leoben). Every year, several EEIGM students obtain a double degree.

The EEIGM offers its students the opportunity to obtain a double degree, outside the Consortium, with the following universities:

MOBILITY GRANTS

EEIGM students are eligible for several grants to support international mobility, subject to certain conditions:

  • Erasmus+ grant (for study or work placement in a member country of the European Union). Please note: If you are applying for a work placement, you must contact the school’s international relations department 8 weeks before the start date of the placement.
  • International mobility grant based on social criteria for students with state grants (can be combined with the state grant).
  • International mobility grants from the Université de Lorraine
  • OFAJ (Office Franco-Allemand de la Jeunesse) grants, particularly for work placements in Germany
  • Grant from the Grand Est region
  • Grant from the student’s home region
  • Franco-German University grant (for students wishing to obtain a double Franco-German degree)
  • Other grants are available on an ad hoc basis.

En outre, les étudiants internationaux peuvent également bénéficier des éventuelles bourses de leur université et/ou pays/ région d’origine, des bourses des Ambassades de France, des bourses d’excellence EIFFEL.

FRANCO-GERMAN UNIVERSITY

The UFA is a network of 194 French and German higher education establishments which offer a total of 180 integrated bi-national and tri-national courses, welcoming some 6,500 students every year.

In 2003, the EEIGM obtained the UFA’s quality label, which, among other things, enables French, German and foreign students at the school interested in a Franco-German double degree to benefit from financial support for the duration of their stay with their partner, i.e. three or four semesters.
