MASTER ERASMUS MUNDUS “AMASE”

AMASE – ERASMUS MUNDUS MASTER IN ADVANCED MATERIALS SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING (VIDÉO)

In 2005, the EEIGM’s four institutional partners created a two-year multinational Research Master’s degree in Advanced Materials Science and Engineering. This Master’s programme is run by 6 European universities: Saarland University (Saarbrücken, Germany, coordinator), the University of Lorraine (Nancy, France), Luleå University of Technology (Luleå, Sweden), the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (Barcelona, Spain), Montanuniversität de Leoben (Leoben, Austria) and the University of Padua (Padua, Italy). Students spend the first two semesters at the partner university of their choice, and the third semester at another partner university of their choice. The fourth semester is a research placement in a laboratory belonging to one of the two universities visited by the student. The degree obtained is a double Master’s degree from each of the two host universities.

As with the EEIGM engineering programme, courses are taught in French in Nancy, Spanish in Barcelona, English in Luleå, Padova and Leoben and German in Saarbrücken.

As soon as it was created, this high-quality Master’s programme was selected by the European Commission in Brussels, which awarded it the prestigious “Erasmus Mundus” label reserved for 100 Master’s programmes throughout Europe, in all disciplines. This label has just been renewed for a further 5 years.
